Allan Zhang Tran is a Los Angeles based writer, director and producer…
New York born and Los Angeles bred, Allan found filmmaking at the age of 14 when he picked up his dad’s mini-DV camcorder. Since, he would earn his BA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University and go on to write & direct short films that would screen and win awards across the country, including Official Selections at Academy Award qualifying film festivals such as Palm Springs International ShortFest and LA Shorts Film Festival.
On the TV side, Allan has producing credits on the Emmy-winning The Dropout (Hulu), Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. (Disney+) and Bless This Mess (ABC).
When he’s not making films or TV, Allan enjoys pizza, distance running and rooting for (or screaming at) the NY Knicks.
