Allan Zhang Tran is a Los Angeles based writer, director and producer…

Born in Syracuse, NY, Allan would move across the country to SoCal’s San Gabriel Valley at the age of 8. It is here where he would not only come of age, but discover his dad’s old DV camcorder. It won’t be long until he’d start running all over the SGV making films with his friends through high school. And, eventually, earn his BA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University.

Allan’s films have screened and earned awards across the country, including Official Selections at Palm Springs International ShortFest, Festival of Cinema NYC, Seattle Asian American Film Festival, San Diego Asian Film Festival and Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival, to name a few.

In addition to his own film work, Allan has also been Associate Producer on Hulu’s The Dropout, Disney+’s Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. and ABC’s Bless This Mess.

When he’s not making film and TV, Allan enjoys pizza, hiking and rooting for (or screaming at) the NY Knicks.
